New fruit varieties

We have an array of programmes that involve developing customised products based on our elite germplasm and breeding new fruit cultivars with novel consumer-driven attributes.

Our programmes focus on:

  • Developing novel varieties of kiwifruit, apples, pears, apricots, peaches, blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries and blackcurrants
  • Achieving differentiation for customers in their chosen market sectors
  • Specialised fruit attributes such as taste, convenience and health.

Fruit propagation and marketing of our proprietary cultivars is managed through licensees who are global fruit producers and marketers.
